triOS Institute is in the process of establishing a private university in Ontario and is actively working with the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB) to obtain consent to operate and grant degrees. As part of this transformative phase, we are seeking experienced professionals who are motivated to contribute to the development, launch, and long-term success of a new private university. Job Title: Program Chair, Health and Data Analytics Location: Hybrid, 2360 meadowpine boulevard Mississauga Hours: Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week; hours may vary based on operational needs Start Date: Immediate End Date: Approximately 6 months, with a possibility of extension Compensation: $45/hr The Opportunity: The Program Chair, Health and Data Analytics is a senior academic leadership role responsible for the design, development, quality assurance, and launch of the Master of Science in Health and Data Analytics program at triOS Institute. The primary focus of this role is to lead academic development and contribute to the government submission for the program. This role combines academic leadership, sector expertise, regulatory alignment, and innovation, with a strong emphasis on AI‑first program design to ensure that graduates have technical expertise in health informatics, data science, and predictive analytics, combined with strategic leadership capabilities to guide digital transformation across public and private health sectors. The Program Chair will work closely with the Senior Director, Academic Development, and other triOS academic leaders, external advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure the program meets government standards and reflects current and future needs. What you'll be doing: What you bring to the position: 1. Program Design and Development (Primary Accountability) Lead the end-to-end academic development of the Master of Science in Health and Data Analytics program. Ensure program structures align with government degree level standards, including: Credential level expectations Program learning outcomes Curriculum breadth and depth Academic rigour and progression Develop coherent course frameworks, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and sequencing that reflect best practices in health and data analytics. 2. Government Submission Leadership Serve as the academic lead for the government submission for the Master of Science in Health and Data Analytics. Contribute academic leadership and subject matter expertise to the program’s government-required documentation, including: Course descriptions Program learning outcomes and mapping Curriculum design and coherence Governance and academic oversight Faculty qualifications and capacity Academic policies and quality assurance processes 3. AI-First Curriculum and Program Innovation Champion an AI-first approach to program development, ensuring artificial intelligence is embedded as a strategic enabler across curriculum design, teaching, learning, and assessment. Integrate AI concepts and tools into program outcomes and course content, including: AI-enabled information technology for health data science Machine learning and predictive analytics for healthcare leaders Advanced applications of AI in auxiliary healthcare systems Governance and interoperability of digital health systems Data-centric decision-making for health service planning Strategic planning and project management in digital health Privacy legislation and regulatory compliance (PHIPA, Pan-Canadian Guidelines) Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) in digital health leadership Implementation of health information systems Innovation management and system optimization in public and private health settings 4. Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Involvement and Sector Alignment Actively engage with a Program Advisory Committee (PAC) to inform program design, validation, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with healthcare sector needs and government expectations. Leverage PAC input to validate program learning outcomes, curriculum structure, graduate competencies, and alignment with workforce and leadership demands. Monitor trends in healthcare delivery, leadership, regulation, policy, and technology for program development. Support the positioning of triOS Institute as a leader in cybersecurity in healthcare education through meaningful external engagement and sector credibility. What you bring to the position: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Health Informatics and Analytics, or in Data Science and Analytics with a specialization in Health, or similar studies. Successful candidate must provide proof of education. Experience teaching courses in a Health Informatics and Analytics or related master’s program. In-depth knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics for healthcare leaders, statistical modeling and data visualization in the health context, and data-centric decision-making for health service planning. Experience working with employer/industry partners to implement work-integrated learning that incorporates program outcomes is an asset. Demonstrated experience with AI tools and their integration into teaching and learning. Strategic thinking to drive program innovation. This job posting is for a current vacancy.
