POSITION OVERVIEW Position: Senior Contracts & Compliance Specialist Job Type: Full Time Location: Hybrid (Sterling, VA or DMV area preferred) Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Travel: None ABOUT THE TEAM The Contracts & Business Operations team supports SIXGEN’s mission by ensuring every deal, proposal, and agreement is compliant, efficient, and ready to scale. As our Senior Contracts & Compliance Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for pre-award compliance and contracts readiness, helping the company grow while maintaining a strong compliance posture. You’ll build scalable systems, guide proposal teams, and make sure everything we submit meets FAR/DFAR and CPSR standards. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role for someone who thrives at the intersection of compliance, contracts, and business strategy. This role is ideal for a contracts professional who is confident in FAR/DFAR compliance, CPSR readiness, and proposal support, and who can also flex into traditional contracts and subcontracts administration as needed. WHAT YOU'LL DO You’ll lead SIXGEN’s pre-award compliance efforts and help mature our contract systems and processes. That means: Reviewing proposal packages for full compliance with solicitation requirements (Sections L & M) Drafting and managing NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontractor RFP packages Preparing and maintaining reps & certs, OCI mitigation plans, and other compliance deliverables Partnering with FP&A to ensure cost volumes meet compliance standards Supporting CPSR and DCAA audit readiness, ensuring documentation and systems meet federal expectations Managing clause matrices, templates, and SOPs to keep compliance consistent and audit-ready Maintaining contracts systems and workflows in Unanet (CMS), including file structures and approvals Driving process improvements to streamline contract turnaround and strengthen compliance Providing training and guidance to teammates on compliance standards, best practices, and templates Assisting in the drafting, reviewing, and processing of subcontracts, modifications, and NDAs Tracking contract funding, deliverables, and compliance requirements across a portfolio of contracts Supporting subcontractor coordination and document management You’ll work closely with business development, finance, and operations to ensure every pursuit is both compliant and competitive. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or related field (preferred) 5–7 years of experience in federal contracts or compliance, with direct exposure to pre-award proposal support and CPSR/DCAA readiness Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFAR and government contracting compliance standards Experience supporting proposal compliance in federal contracting environments Familiarity with Unanet, Deltek, or other contract lifecycle management tools NCMA certifications (CPCM, CFCM) preferred Proven to be detail-oriented, proactive, and strategic, someone who can balance compliance rigor with business growth. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. The final salary offer will be determined after a thorough review of the candidate's background and alignment with the role.
