The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join the Pedestrian Ramps Program team in the Program Management Unit - Programs.
Successful candidate will report direction of the Program Director and will supervise a team of Senior Project Administrators, Project Administrators, and Junior Project Administrators responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately $5.6 Billion of design and construction of Pedestrian Ramps projects throughout the five boroughs. The Program Coordinator will monitor, track, and identify critical issues throughout the project scope development, pre-design, construction, and final design phases. Candidate will serve as a liaison between the agency, NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and other client agencies as it relates to project scopes, conflicts, troubleshooting, and resolving project related issues that arise.
Lastly, the final candidate will utilize the Agency’s technical resources such as Benchmark to ensure that projects meet DDC’s Commitment Plan objectives; manage engineering consultants; maintain comprehensive project history e-files; coordinate project schedules; prepare project correspondence and reports; serve as the representative of the team in meetings with utility companies, and city, state, and federal agencies regarding pedestrian ramps issues; train staff in executing the team’ responsibilities; participate in the recruitment efforts of the agency; and support the Associate Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and Program Director with the team’s objectives as required.
