Job Summary
The Program Coordinator for Entrepreneurial Engagement & Outreach plays a critical role in implementing and managing co-curricular entrepreneurship programs at the FGCU Rist Institute for Entrepreneurship and the Daveler and Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship (DKSOE). This position oversees the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program, coordinates major student-focused initiatives, supports donor and grant engagement, and facilitates efforts that promote student success and career readiness.
Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the lead facilitator and coordinator for the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program, managing program logistics, mentor recruitment, speaker engagement, and participant success tracking.
  • Collaborates with DKSOE the leadership team to deliver mentorship, coaching, and support programs that increase student retention and engagement
  • Coordinates flagship events and initiatives including: High School Entrepreneurship Challenge, Small Business Institute Conference, Family Business Conference
  • Organizes and facilitates internship readiness and career development workshops.
  • Collaborates with campus partners to provide students with resources, support, referral, and advocacy.
  • Assists with the development of materials and outreach efforts that support donor stewardship and grant reporting.
  • Maintains relationships with community partners, alumni, and sponsors in support of co-curricular programming
  • Monitors program metrics, feedback, and impact data for reporting and continuous improvement to reach strategic goals.
  • Monitors and complies with all fiscal guidelines in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires either six years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Experience in program coordination, entrepreneurship, education, or nonprofit work.
  • Experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, or career services
  • Experience with computer systems and proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree or graduate-level coursework from an accredited institution
  • in Entrepreneurship, Business, Education, or Public Administration.
  • Experience working with military-connected students or entrepreneurship support programs.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship, innovation, or business incubation
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and an ability to interpret and apply consistently.
  • Knowledge of budget control principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with faculty, staff, students, business partners, and the community in a service-oriented manner.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to varied audiences.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate data in a clear and concise format.
