This critical role is responsible for ensuring the seamless introduction of new model programs within our paint facilities, from initial prototype verification through to final implementation. The successful candidate will be a key player in resolving complex automation and facility issues, optimizing paint processes, and supporting vehicle launches to meet stringent quality, timing, and operational efficiency targets. Function as Paint Automation Technical support for the introduction of new model programs from verification prototype to final implementation. Lead resolution for automation and facility issues impacting paint & facility launch, quality/timing, OEE, Uptime, FTT, and equipment functionality issues through data collection and analysis. Coordinate and support on going paint color and appearance optimization. Develop offline and commission Paint & Sealer automation processes Support paint application trials, testing both at vendors and plants as required Support Materials and Process Engineering with paint application expertise Support Vehicle Launches as required. Lead tracking and issue resolution as it relates to Paint and Sealer Automation Identify, support, and resolve on-going plant automation issues Wiliness to understand color and paint appearance. High School Graduate or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience - Robot and or Paint OEM preferred Ability to travel will be required. 60 to 80% of the work is at an assembly plant.
