Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The program coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating programming for client’s with developmental disabilities both in-house and off site.

  • Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead
  • Demonstrates a professional manner while working with residents and families in home and in public

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and enhance existing Green Haven programs
  • Implement programs that enhance client’s development skills
  • Create programs and activities that assist clients in areas of communication, education, physical and mental health and emotional skills
  • Adjust programs and activities based on client needs
  • Create step by step program outline
  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Plan programs from start to finish, involving deadlines, milestones, and processes
  • Execute and supervise in-person programming from 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Develop content for virtual programs
  • Execute and supervise remote programs
  • Schedule programs, activities, and events
  • Follow up with Personal Support Plans for each client
  • Fill-in forms with client or support workers to keep reports up to date
  • Work on plans to help client development and success
  • Assist with Individual Support Plans for clients
  • Ensure environment around residents are kept clean and safe
  • Complete additional tasks as requested by the management team
  • Comply with company’s Policies and Procedures
