Responsibilities

CHOP Night Clinic Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of CHOP Night, HHI’s free medical and dental clinic for children in shelter and transitional housing. Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing all clinic logistics, including scheduling, setup, and coordination
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and managing healthcare and student volunteers
  • Communicating with housing partners before, during, and after each clinic to ensure smooth operations
  • Greeting families and assisting them in navigating the clinic experience
  • Supporting clinical volunteers with resource connections and on-site assistance
  • Managing follow-up care coordination and resource referrals for families
  • Maintaining and replenishing clinic supplies
  • Gathering and incorporating feedback from families, volunteers, and housing partners to continuously improve the clinic experience

Youth Shelter Programming: Oversee weekly programming at a local youth shelter for adolescents living without parents or guardians. Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to deliver trauma-informed, character-building programming
  • Designing and facilitating health and wellness activities tailored to the needs of adolescents
  • Engaging directly with youth to assess needs and collaborate with healthcare volunteers to connect them to community-based care when appropriate
  • Coordinating with shelter staff to ensure alignment and support before, during, and after each visit
  • Partnering with CHOP departments, such as Adolescent Medicine, to address the unique needs of teens

For future consideration as full-time coordinator:

  • Implementation of programming at other HHI Partner shelters
  • Lead the expansion of CHOP Night and other shelter programming to new sites
