Job Title : Program Coordinator, Mission to Children
Based at : Edmonton
Reports to : Mission to Children Manager
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (may require some flexibility)
Status : Full-time


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Communication, or other related education. Other relevant education may be considered.
  • Fluent English in speaking, writing, and reading.
  • Highly organized and motivated individual.
  • The ability to manage large groups of people and volunteers.
  • Class 5 Drivers License and ability/willingness to learn how to drive a cube truck.
  • Must be physically fit; no issues with standing and lifting an average of 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Consistently maintain positive working relationships with staff and clients
  • Organizational and scheduling skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with volunteers an asset.
  • Experience driving a truck, forklift, and lift jack an asset.
  • Leadership skills an asset.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Being a Christian Organization, we require our employees to be in agreement and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Able to provide Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and a Child Intervention Record Check
  • A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
  • Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures
Responsibilities
  • Schedule and execute the pickup of items (donations, bikes, playgrounds).
  • Facilitate the storage of inventory at the warehouse, while maintaining appropriate levels of required items.
  • Prepare and plan inventory for overseas shipments and meal packaging events.
  • Manage shipments and volunteer teams while loading containers.
  • Support the Mission to Children Manager in planning projects.
  • Facilitate and execute meal package events both at Hope Mission and at other locations.
