The Program Coordinator will work with leadership and teams, and affiliated staff to facilitate effective, efficient, and consistent service. This position oversees injury‑prevention strategies, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and appropriate referral for players' sports medical conditions. Guides programs that assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning. Participates in operational aspects of the program, maintains performance improvement activities within the program. This position is responsible for establishing standards, gaining synergy with affiliated staff within the program, and program performance reporting. The Program Coordinator serves as a first escalation point for colleagues and affiliated staff engaged in projects within the assigned programs helping to resolve conflicts among projects. This position produces and maintains detailed dashboards or logs for the programs providing critical milestones, status updates, performance indicators, and measures over time. Required Qualifications Other : Graduate of an approved and accredited professional Physical Therapy school or program. 2 Years experience in all aspects of physical therapy as a certified athletic trainer or therapist. Experience working in a high tempo, inter-disciplinary medical support team that includes direct involvement in collegiate, professional, Olympic, tactical (e.g., Special Forces, Service Academies), performance (e.g., Cirque du Soleil, Performing Arts) or equivalent environments. California Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - CA Physical Therapy Board -REQUIRED AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a health related field. 1 Year leadership experience. Soccer experience with academies associated with MLS Clubs. Massage Therapist - California Massage Therapy Council -PREFERRED Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) California Certification - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians -PREFERRED Other Qualification Requirements Member of California Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA) - PREFERRED Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) - Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer - PREFERRED Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) - National Strength and Conditioning Association - PREFERRED Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Essential Functions Program Coordination Ensures successful delivery of the programs' overall objectives by directing and overseeing the programs' components. Monitors implementation of the program. Conducts program health checks to evaluate potential risks to program success. Provides reporting of program progress and performance. Provides effective updates in both verbal and written formats. Contributes to program plans for specifics strategic initiatives including technologies/equipment, budgets, resource requirements, and timelines. Partners with the Director and other leadership, develops and implements best-practice standards regarding program processes. Facilitates the integration and coordination of the various component project teams' efforts in order to meet program objectives. Proactively looks for improvement opportunities taking the initiative to investigate possible solutions and takes action or proposes solutions where the scope of the issue extends beyond the team. Participates in process improvement, staff meetings, and case review. Participates in committees and program wide activities when requested. Participates in plan to improve customer satisfaction including the SHARP EXPERIENCE. Maintains required professional certifications, continuing education and memberships. Represents the profession in a positive manner; effectively interacts with stakeholders to promote a positive relationship. Education, Communication and Collaboration Oversees educational programs for players regarding injury prevention, treatment plans, and safe participation. Ensures multi disciplinary collaboration among the Medical Staff, coaching team, and conditioning personnel. Communicates effectively with players, coaches, physicians, and support staff. Monitors in-service/education program or training. Identifies pertinent clinical issues requiring education and participates in implementation of educational plan. Performs thorough problem analysis and resolution processes using sound judgment, initiative, professional discretion. Presents effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of management. Promotes effective communication and coordination across staff within programs and between programs and the overall portfolio of work. Operational Efficiency and Department Contribution Directs ordering, maintaining, and inventorying medical supplies and equipment. Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling, travel, and Club/League required activities. Participates in team meetings, league programs, and operational improvement initiatives. Maintains OSHA standards including all blood borne pathogen regulations. Communicates and investigates departmental concerns. Accepts changes and demonstrates flexibility. Care and Athletic Training Support Provides immediate first aid and emergency care for acute injuries as needed. Oversees on site injury evaluations and applies appropriate treatment modalities. Oversees the design, implementation, and progresses individualized rehabilitation programs. Monitors/reviews injury prevention strategies and return to play protocols. Assists with medical referrals as appropriate and collaborates with the CMO and Medical Staff. Completes all documentation elements as appropriate.
