Your mission BIGGER Écoles (BE): Changing Attitudes and Norms to Prevent Underage Marriage in Marrakech-Safi is an initiative by Project Soar, funded by the European Commission. This project aims to empower civil society organizations (CSOs) in Morocco to promote and protect human rights while addressing gender-based violence. Through targeted advocacy efforts, BE will champion girls' rights and combat underage marriage by strengthening CSOs' presence in public schools. The initiative includes a comprehensive capacity-building program focused on adolescent girls' issues, featuring specialized training components to ensure the long-term sustainability of efforts to advance girls' rights. Key Responsibilities: Program Implementation Manage the day-to-day operations of the BE initiative across 96 schools and CSOs in the region. Ensure timely delivery of program activities, including school dialogues, family advocacy events, and religious leader engagement meetings. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with FNAPEM, AREF, and other coalition partners to coordinate and implement program activities. Build and maintain relationships with school administrators, teachers, mentors and community members to promote program objectives and foster local ownership. Training and Capacity Building Organize and facilitate training sessions for BE mentors and CSOs to ensure they are equipped with advocacy tools and resources. Assist in the development and dissemination of the BE Advocacy Toolkit to support local and regional advocacy efforts. Monitoring and Reporting Utilize the Monitoring and Evaluation (M+E) framework to track program progress, outcomes, and impact. Prepare and submit regular reports detailing program activities, achievements, and challenges to the Program Manager. Advocacy and Awareness Lead and assist the community outreach initiatives, including social media campaigns and press releases, to raise awareness about the dangers of underage marriage. Coordinate events aimed at engaging families, religious leaders, and the broader public in discussions about gender-based violence (GBV) and underage marriage prevention. Administrative Support Manage program budgets, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Coordinate logistics for events, including securing venues, preparing materials, and managing participant accommodations. Your profile Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Gender Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 5 years of NGO experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in program coordination, particularly in gender-based advocacy or education. Fluency in Moroccan Arabic and advanced proficiency in English and French are required. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, CSOs, and government entities. Strong experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M+E), including using data to drive program improvement. Experience working with international donors such as the EU or UN agencies. Leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Commitment to gender equality and social justice. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Sheets, and other relevant software applications.
