Position: Program Coordinator I-III, Public Health, Pacific Islander Center of Primary Care Excellence (PI-CoPCE) Department: PI-CoPCE Reports to: Deputy Director and PI-CoPCE USAPI Programs Lead Consultant FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Salary: $23.08 - $33.33/ hr Location: Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Travel: This position may require occasional travel, including the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands, mainland U.S. locations, and other sites as needed. About the role Funded through a diverse portfolio of funding aimed at building capacity and support for health system partners and organizations, this position focuses on providing high-level support to ensure all program collaborators, participants, and community partners successfully achieve program goals. The Program Coordinator is a critical member of the AAPCHO’s Pacific Islander Center of Primary Care Excellence (PI-CoPCE) team, providing in-region infrastructure and support, ensuring responsiveness through coordination of communications and key activities. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and community stakeholders. What you'll do The primary responsibilities of the Program Coordinator are as follows: Administrative and Programmatic: (75%) Provide administrative coordination for program documents, call schedules, and team-based communications internally with staff and externally with affiliate site partners and AAPCHO content experts, including meeting notes, distribution, and follow-up communications. Support the design, implementation, and follow-up of training and technical assistance services, ensuring consistency across multiple grants Centralize and organize scheduling and communications amongst PI-CoPCE staff members, PI-CoPCE affiliate partner sites, and AAPCHO contracted content experts. Coordinate logistics and communications for in-region PI-CoPCE meetings and trainings in coordination with AAPCHO’s travel agency, venue, and affiliate site host as appropriate. Plan, organize, and facilitate program-related meetings and teleconference calls. Centralize and curate all Pacific Islander Diabetes Prevention Program (PI-DPP) developed materials and resources repository. Maintain consistent communication with PI-CoPCE content experts and affiliate sites. Assist the Director of Programs and Services and AAPCHO content experts in coordinating content necessary to fulfill CDC requirements, including annual and monthly progress reports as appropriate. Track, analyze, and respond to technical assistance requests from affiliate partners. Creatively improve project workflow and efficiency. Other duties as requested by the Executive Director or Director of Community Services and Partnerships. Communications/Media: (20%) Coordinate the maintenance of AAPCHO’s PI-CoPCE related website content and other PI-CoPCE social media and marketing materials in conjunction with the PI-CoPCE team and AAPCHO’s Communications and Member Services Coordinator. Coordinate with the Communications Department regarding the development of a repository and other media related to the program; Development of presentations highlighting program successes and lessons learned; General Agency (5%) Foster an environment that promotes trust and cooperation amongst staff, management, members, partners, and clients. Attend AAPCHO and PI-CoPCE staff program meetings and events as needed Participate in agency functional teams and ad-hoc committees. Represent AAPCHO in meetings and conferences, as appropriate. Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Associate's Degree in a health-related field or commensurate experience working with Pacific Islander populations and health disparities preferred. Must support and demonstrate the ability to implement the mission and goals of AAPCHO. Motivated, organized, resourceful, and flexible individual with the ability to multitask and creatively problem solve. Fast learner and comfortable working individually, and as a team member, in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with competing priorities. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with ability to assess, prioritize, and manage a varied and demanding workload under pressure and with tight deadlines, while maintaining a high bar for quality. Experience working within a community health center setting or directly with community health centers (preferred). Knowledgeable about the public health issues, including the social determinants of health that impact Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Experience with program coordination and facilitation of groups/presentations. Experience with online conferencing forum moderation (preferred). Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) and MacOS, MS Office, and Zoom, and able to learn other platforms quickly.
