PROGRAM COUNSELLOR
We are seeking Program Counsellors to be responsible for day-to-day support of individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnose within the home and the community. We always strive to enhance the member’s quality of life and successful candidates need to meet our values and expectations.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong written and oral communication skills and computer skills
· Current First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
· Access to a reliable vehicle and Canadian Driver’s license is a must
· Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
· Outstanding focus on member safety and care
· A strong understanding of mental health and appropriate therapeutic
responses are an extremely valuable assets
-Physical ability to support people, some with limited mobility. Able to carry, push and lift 25 lbs.
· Completion of Human Services Diploma (Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, PSW etc.) from a recognized Community College or University
Schedules: Support shifts and 24 hr. shifts available depending on location
Ability to commute/relocated: Huntsville, North Bay, Sudbury, New Liskeard
Education: Post-Secondary Degree/Dipolma
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.50 per hour
