JOB OVERVIEW

Focus College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practical Nursing Program Developer to design and develop a comprehensive curriculum for a Practical Nursing Diploma Program. This program will include both theoretical and practical components, aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Upon completion of the program, students should be eligible to write the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC) licensing exam.
The Program Developer will ensure the curriculum meets the standards set by the BCCNM (British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives) and aligns with the competencies needed for licensure. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to create a program that balances academic rigor with practical application, ensuring students are prepared for success in their careers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing Program (preferred).
• Prior experience in curriculum development or teaching in a nursing program is highly desirable.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to work effectively with faculty and other program developers.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, while maintaining high standards of quality in course development.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online educational platforms is an asset.
  Compensation Range: $25-30
