Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This position will be remote, with the base location of Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be willing to travel for in-person meetings, team events, and customer needs. We are seeking a proven leader to direct our multi-year initiative to modernize instrumentation and control systems across the operating nuclear fleet. This role is a core part of our long-term strategy to support utility partners with safe, reliable, and forward-looking I&C solutions over the next 50 years.

The Program Director will have full responsibility for delivery — leading a team that includes senior managers, program and project leaders, and technical contributors and will ensure program execution aligns with customer expectations, plant conditions, and regulatory standards.

  • Lead the overall I&C modernization program for the operating fleet, including scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
  • Oversee and develop a cross-functional team of contract and project managers, proposal specialists, and PMO resources.
  • Serve as the primary program delivery interface with utility customers.
  • Ensure alignment across engineering, field services, operations, quality, and licensing functions.
  • Drive effective outage planning and execution playbooks for I&C system upgrades, replacements, and integration.
  • Monitor program performance, resolve issues, and adjust plans based on plant constraints and customer priorities.
  • 15+ years of nuclear industry experience, including deep familiarity with I&C systems, outage execution, and system lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex technical programs with plant interfaces.
  • Proven leadership experience managing senior-level staff and technical teams.
  • Clear, direct communication style with the ability to represent the program to utility executives, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
