Job Details Job Location: FLA-Jacksonville Area Command - Jacksonville, FL 32204 Position Type: Part Time less than 20 Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Salary Range: $20.24 - $22.77 Hourly Job Category: Education Schedule/Hours: 15 hours per week possible weekend duty This position is responsible for: Coordinate, mentor, handle fee collection and document client class attendance/participation maintaining strict adherence to established policies and procedures related to program objectives and governing bodies directives; remain updated on all compliance mandates affecting the treatment community. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate or co-facilitate assigned group utilizing the established curriculum and teaching techniques. Appropriately address how domestic violence affects children as victims and children who witness domestic violence. Maintain case notes regarding participation, cooperation and other pertinent information. Collect appropriate Batterers Intervention Program fees from clients during class and assure that The Salvation Army Batters Intervention Program Policy and Procedures are followed during the collection and deposit process. Maintain instructor qualifications each year as dictated by the BIP state certifying agency. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like. . Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a social or behavioral science or two years of experience involving direct contact work with victims and batterers. Passing a background screening is required Must complete a minimum six month facilitator training program to include educational and experiential learning to become a credentialed BIP facilitator per Florida Statute 741.28.
