Description
Willdan Lighting & Electric currently has an opening for a Program Intern in our New York, NY office. This is a temporary, part-time, hybrid position scheduled to run from June 15 through September 15. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment with our engineering staff, program managers and sales team to develop energy savings solutions, conduct site visits and verify energy savings for our customers. Responsibilities * Collect and evaluate project documentation such as utility bills, as-built drawings, utility incentive documents, multifamily property information, and other pertinent project information. * Conduct site visits or desk reviews to identify and/or confirm potential electric and gas conservation measures. * Identify and estimate applicable energy efficiency incentives. * Use effective writing and verbal skills to deliver high quality reports. * Work with Contractors and Customers of the utility incentive programs. * Other duties as required to meet project needs and deadlines.  Requirements * Current college students or recent college graduates (in the last two years). * Some experience in energy efficiency, facility design/build, and/or performance contracting. * Ability to perform the responsibilities required for this position, as listed above. * Ability to communicate effectively with our clients and work collaboratively with our engineering staff, program managers and sales team. * Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple projects. * Proficiency with MS Excel. * Ability to travel to the Manhattan Office.  * Some on-site travel may be required.
