Nuclear Electric Power Generation

Description
Build structure, create clarity, and drive complex nuclear programmes forward At Blykalla, we are developing next-generation small modular reactors (SMRs) to enable a fossil-free future. Our work sits at the intersection of deep technology, safety-critical engineering, and ambitious growth. To succeed, we need exceptional execution at scale. We are now looking for a Program Lead – Product Development to take end-to-end responsibility for running our product development as an integrated programme. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in complexity, challenges assumptions, and creates clarity across strategy, projects, and stakeholders. Your mission You will drive the success of the product development programme, ensuring that strategy is translated into executable plans and that multiple, interdependent projects deliver together on time, within scope, and with the right priorities to support the company's mission. You will act as the glue between projects, functions, and leadership, with a constant focus on execution quality, risk management, and transparency. What you’ll do Create clarity downwards Ensure product development is run as a programme by creating a clear link between strategy, programme, and individual projects. Create the systems and processes needed to execute the programme and enable project managers to deliver within their projects in support of the programme. Challenge project execution Support individual projects within the programme - ensuring their plans, timelines, and deliverables are aligned. Push back on logic gaps, unrealistic assumptions, and execution risks. Make sure each project within the programme stays on track within its timelines, cost, and scope. Track that the challenges are addressed. Coordinate across the programme Handle dependencies, conflicts, resource competition, budget priorities, delays, and deliverables that impact the success of the programme. Be the glue that makes the programme work as a whole, beyond individual projects. Identify risks and opportunities that cross project boundaries and that individual project managers would miss. Create clarity upwards and outwards Continuously maintain a current picture of programme health for senior management and external stakeholders. Be the source of truth on programme status - know what's happening across all projects at any time and communicate it clearly and coherently. Who you are You are a highly structured and analytical person who is comfortable creating clarity and progress despite ambiguity and complexity. You combine strategic thinking with a strong execution mindset and are confident in challenging senior stakeholders when needed. We believe you have most or all of the following qualifications: Some experience from coordinating multi-project portfolios with competing priorities and resources A proven track record of turning ambiguous goals into concrete plans and timelines The ability to integrate engineering, business, and management perspectives in a complex technical environment Experience in challenging senior stakeholders and holding teams accountable for delivery Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a background in management consulting or equivalent exposure is advantageous Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and visually A university degree in an engineering discipline relevant to the development or deployment of nuclear technology Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus How you work Direct, clear, and concise in communication Quick to spot gaps, risks, and inconsistencies Constructively challenge upwards, downwards, and across the organisation Create clarity from complexity Take initiative and have a short response time Get up to speed quickly, even in unfamiliar technical domains Work with high precision and quality standards Focus on solutions, not just problems Why Blykalla At Blykalla, you’ll work on one of the most impactful engineering challenges of our time – enabling scalable, fossil-free energy.
