One of the sunniest regions in BC’s Lower Mainland, Delta embraces three unique communities – Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen. The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.
The City of Delta is seeking dynamic, creative, and energetic individuals to lead a variety of baking and cooking programs at our community recreation facilities. The instructor will teach basic food safety, healthy eating habits, cooking and baking skills to children and youth. Cooking instructors are responsible for the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities and recipes for children and youth aged 2 to 18 years. This role requires individuals who are enthusiastic, high-energy, and passionate about working with children and youth in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

Qualifications and Assets:

  • Previous experience working with children and/or youth in a recreation setting is preferred
  • Previous experience working with children and/or youth in a kitchen setting is preferre
  • Culinary education or kitchen experience is desire
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skill
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a tea
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe certifications are required
