4 PROGRAM LEADERS (RECREATION, CULTURE AND TOURISM) – PART TIME

Starting Wage $18.79
The Program Leader is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing high quality recreational sports, arts and culture programs and day camps with an emphasis on high energy, enthusiasm and creativity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Experience facilitating recreational summer, arts and sports programs or day camps working with children, youth and families (coaching or team leadership experience in the areas are an asset)
  • Leaders In Training Program an asset
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and deliver high quality, safe and stimulating recreation, art and culture programs for all ages of participants.
  • Complete all administrative duties, report all concerns and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate actions
  • Service focused: Interact directly with and encourage interaction with participants.
  • Maintain complete vigilance on duty and serve as part of the emergency response team.
  • Create and maintain a positive atmosphere that builds positive self-esteem and confidence in participants
  • Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff and property by following Town of Sylvan Lake standards/policies/procedures and ensuring they are maintained amongst all members and staff.
