UPMC Health Plan is seeking a full-time Program Manager to join our team! This is a hybrid position that will work from the office a few days per week. As the Program Manager for the WorkPartners Absence Management team, you will play a vital role in overseeing and advancing all aspects of the UPMC absence management programs. Your focus will be on supporting absence workgroups to deliver initiatives that improve the client experience, enhance employee processes, and elevate the overall quality of absence services. Your work will directly impact how effectively absence is managed across our health plan. Reporting to the Director of Absence, you’ll be a key collaborator with leaders and employees throughout the absence management space and throughout UPMC. This role offers a chance to lead cross-departmental coordination and manage related projects. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate activities across multiple UPMC Health Plan departments to support the success of absence management programs, ensuring everyone stays informed on progress and updates Partner with UPMC internal teams to deliver critical absence management initiatives, driving continuous improvement through customer feedback and issue resolution Design and implement programs focused on enhancing absence management processes, improving member and client satisfaction, and driving operational excellence Partner with internal Workpartners teams to identify technology solutions in response to client issues Make strategic recommendations to enhance system workflows and processes, improving staff efficiency and employee experience Oversee a variety of absence-related programs, campaigns, and events aligned with strategic absence management goals Ensure adherence to project timelines and deadlines, including occasional extended hours as needed to meet critical milestones Analyze and report on absence program outcomes to support ongoing quality improvement Manage and mentor support staff involved in absence program delivery, where applicable Develop comprehensive project plans that include policies, procedures, contracts, and marketing materials specifically tailored to absence management initiatives Masters degree in health administration or related health field preferred; or Bachelors degree with demonstrated successful experience in clinical program administration and/or other health related discipline. A minimum of five years of applicable experience in health care delivery is required. A strong background in absence management is highly preferred. Prior leadership is a bonus. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Effectively balance competing priorities, ensuring timely completion Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate with cross-functional leadership and drive impactful change.
