OVERVIEW

A leading global pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join their engineering team in Sligo. This contract role will involve coordinating the site project team to successfully deliver biological projects within a regulated biopharma environment. The position will report to the Business Excellence Manager.
The ideal candidate must have the right to work in Ireland/Europe.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven Program Management experience within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Operations experience in Sterile Manufacturing is preferred.
  • PMI Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the site project team to successfully deliver biological projects within a pharmaceutical or biopharma setting.
  • Develop cross-functional implementation plans with input from R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and other key stakeholders.
  • Utilize PMO tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Set project milestones and report progress, while proposing alternative approaches and corrective actions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide program management support and guide third-party vendors, suppliers, and contractors to meet shared milestones.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align priorities and manage project risks proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and track change plans in the appropriate systems.
  • Manage project timelines and report potential delays or risks impacting critical paths.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the company’s ability to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective products on schedule.
  • Facilitate and coordinate communication between site resources and the global engineering team to deliver equipment and facilities for NPI (New Product Introduction) programs.
