Key Responsibilities

• Operational Architecture: Design and refine lightweight, scalable frameworks that support both small, autonomous squads and large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strategic Execution: Lead high-visibility, cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.
• Clarity & Governance: Simplify complex challenges by implementing structures that provide transparency, accountability, and clear progress tracking.
• Executive Enablement: Serve as a key partner to leadership by preparing business reviews, roadmap strategy, and quality assessments that drive executive-level decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analysis, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Technical Background: 8+ years of experience working within software development environments.
• Communication: 2+ years of experience in executive-level reporting and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing large-scale programs within organizations of 100+ engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to drive complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives across diverse teams.
• Deep expertise in optimising engineering operations, improving developer productivity, and scaling organizational processes.

This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, delivery, engineering, AI, client advisory, and digital transformation. You'll work with enterprise organisations to modernise platforms, build custom software solutions, leverage emerging AI capabilities, and lead high-performing technical teams through complex delivery programmes.

• The RoleLead the successful delivery of complex bespoke software engineering programmes for enterprise clients.
• Own the post-sales delivery lifecycle, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, building trusted relationships throughout delivery.
• Manage programme governance, delivery risks, budgets, resource planning, dependencies, and commercial performance.
• Lead cross-functional engineering and technology teams delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native software and platform solutions.
• Work closely with architects and technical leaders to define delivery strategies, technical approaches, and solution architectures.
• Bring strong technical judgement across areas such as software engineering, cloud, platforms, APIs, distributed systems, and modern technology ecosystems.
• Support the adoption and delivery of AI-enabled solutions, working with technical teams and clients to identify opportunities to apply AI within enterprise technology programmes.
• Support client workshops, solution development, technical proposals, and pre-sales/business growth initiatives.

• Non-Negotiable RequirementsProven experience delivering bespoke, custom-built software solutions — no off the-shelf SaaS platforms
• Strong background within a technology consultancy, digital engineering consultancy, professional services, or similar client-services environment.
• Proven leadership of post-sales software delivery programmes for enterprise clients.
• A genuine engineering/technical background, with broad technical experience across areas such as software engineering, platforms, cloud, architecture, APIs, distributed systems, or related technologies.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior engineers, architects, technical leaders, and C-level stakeholders.
• Demonstrable AI experience, with an understanding of AI/ML and emerging AI technologies and how they can be applied within software products, platforms, or enterprise digital transformation.
• Strong experience managing client stakeholders, budgets, commercial performance, delivery risks, and resource planning.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through complex technology programmes.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
