ABOUT THE ROLE:

Victoria Police is seeking a Project Manager to manage the delivery of capital works and major projects. This role will work within the Facilities Division of Victoria Police and report to the Program Manager of the Major Projects Unit.
Facilities Division within Victoria Police, plans, builds, and maintains police stations, buildings, and facilities throughout Victoria. Situated within the Major Projects unit, this role reports directly to the Unit Manager and is a key member of team. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of a new Police Station and be required to engage with Executive and operational level stakeholders.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of a major capital works project from planning through to completion.
  • Managing the delivery of construction projects using an appropriate project management methodology.
  • Ensuring the delivery of the project is integrated within a broader major projects program and organisational priorities.
  • Managing the procurement of project consultants and contractors.
  • Leading and managing project resources including Victoria Police employees, contractors, and consultants.
  • Managing project outcomes including scope and quality to ensure projects are progressing on time and within budget.
  • Effectively managing the project budget ensuring value for money.
  • Identifying and managing project risks.
  • Overseeing project governance and reporting including providing high-quality briefings, and documentation to executive leadership and funding bodies.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and procurement requirements.
  • Engaging effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to drive quality outcomes.
