We have an opening for a Program Manager, Distribution in our Burnaby office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college or university.
  • PMP designation through PMI Institute (recommended).
  • Electrical distribution, substation, or transmission design experience (both underground and overhead).
  • Experience with regional power providers is an asset (BC Hydro, Fortis BC)
  • Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall execution of underground/overhead electrical distribution design projects and programs (4kV to 25kV)
  • Accountable for the on-budget and on-schedule delivery of concurrent electrical distribution projects while maintaining a high degree of quality.
  • Coordinate work and communication among internal team members as well as external partners and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship and development of Engineers, Technologists, Drafting and Project Managers on the team.
  • Coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities, and various project stakeholders for project execution.
  • Project schedule, cost and communication management, and reporting.
  • Clearly communicate with clients and project stakeholders to mitigate project risks and expectations.
  • Work with the team to seek out, develop, and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Project level quoting, planning, design, and project management as required.
  • Off-site meetings and site checks as required.
  • Analyze and produce financial and schedule reporting for projects as needed.
  • Project acquisition, sales, and customer relationship building.
  • Peer mentoring and training with other team members.
  • Other duties as required.
