Description
Lead and manage a portfolio of underground cable (HV/MV) and OHTL projects from initiation through commissioning and handover. Develop and control integrated program schedules, execution plans, and budgets. Manage interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. Coordinate project interdependencies and optimize resource allocation across the program. Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, utilities, and local authorities. Ensure timely approvals, permits, and clearances (road crossings, wayleaves, right-of-way). Conduct program progress reviews and provide detailed reporting to senior management. nsure compliance with approved designs, standards, and utility requirements for: Underground cable systems (XLPE, jointing, terminations, testing). Overhead transmission lines (towers/poles, stringing, sagging, tensioning). Oversee route surveys, soil investigations, and method statements. Manage testing and commissioning activities including HV testing and energization. Identify program-level technical, construction, and interface risks. Implement mitigation plans for schedule delays, ROW issues, and material constraints. Monitor KPIs related to schedule, cost, quality, and productivity. Ensure quality assurance and inspection processes are fully implemented. Lead and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site teams. Ensure effective manpower, equipment, and subcontractor deployment. Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Experience Minimum 12–15 years of experience in power transmission projects. At least 5 years in a senior project or program management role. Proven experience in: HV underground cable projects (66kV / 132kV / 220kV). OHTL projects (132kV / 220kV / 400kV).
