This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful programs in emerging states, focusing on operational excellence while leveraging national-level services. The Program Manager will lead program planning, stakeholder engagement, and resource coordination to ensure successful implementation in states with recently passed EPR laws. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including producers, service providers, local governments, and regulatory bodies, to deliver measurable outcomes. The position requires strategic thinking, strong relationship management, and effective execution of program goals. This role blends leadership, operational oversight, and analytical responsibilities in a dynamic and evolving environment, offering exposure to high-level decision-making and cross-functional collaboration. \n Accountabilities: Develop and manage actionable plans to recruit, engage, and educate producers while ensuring compliance with state requirements. Coordinate program development and resources to achieve source reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting objectives. Manage registration processes for service providers and support reporting and compliance requirements. Engage with communities, stakeholders, and local governments to facilitate smooth program implementation. Oversee Board engagement, including agenda setting, meeting preparation, and driving effective decision-making. Build productive relationships with regulators and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure program success. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost efficiency. Represent the organization in official matters, media events, and public engagements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent business experience is a plus. 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in waste, recycling, or related industries. Proven track record in program management, strategic planning, and portfolio oversight. Strong budget management and analytical skills. Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal abilities, including engagement with governmental agencies. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexibility. Experience with board management is preferred; nonprofit experience is a plus. Must be able to register as a lobbyist in relevant states. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving history required.
