Here’s what you need Associate's Degree Nursing required Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred 3+ Years experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting required 3+ Years occupational/employee health preferred 1+ years supervisory experience preferred TX RN upon hire required BLS upon hire required What You Will Do Coordinates components of the Employee Health Program Reviews work releases, coordinates the tuberculosis skin testing program for new hires, current employees and volunteers Administers periodic evaluations for employees Recommends new or revised practices or procedures based on currently accepted, evidence-based strategies Administers immunizations. Provides care to workers injured or exposed on duty; orders lab and/or x-ray; collects drug screens; refers to healthcare provider when necessary; collects information for follow-up investigation; counsels worker regarding prevention; forwards necessary information to Human Resources for workers' compensation claim processing. Reviews health questionnaire; performs physical nursing assessment; administers tb skin test or orders x-ray; obtains lab specimen based of results of health history; collects drug screen, assess the results of the assessment, lab, x-rays to determine fitness for duty and/or need for referral to healthcare provider.
