Valiant is looking for a Program Manager to join our team!  This position is a full time Exempt (salary) position, supporting the Futures and Concepts Center, Army Futures Command Army Experimentation Program.  The Program Manager provides contract personnel management support and technical and operational oversight of the Battle Laboratory Collaborative Simulation Environment (BLCSE) in support of the US Army Experimentation Program.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Serve as the focal point for government leadership interaction. * Manage customer expectations and maintain close relationships with the customer base at several levels to solicit feedback, resolve issues, and achieve customer satisfaction by being a trusted advisor and proactive communicator. * Manage the support team for the planning, integration, and execution of distributed, and multi-site experiments. * Provide technical expertise to assist the government team with simulation and Mission Command System-supported military and Joint experiments conducted to examine and analyze Future Service Concepts, Capabilities, and Force Structures. * Develop and manage teams' priorities and activities to focus on delivering high-value client outcomes, adhering to high standards, and on-time delivery to the customer. * Design and lead cross-functional teams with the skills and expertise needed, including dedicated team members and subject matter experts. * Provide weekly BLCSE updates and monthly contract financial and technical status reports to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). * Manage contractor time, travel, and other direct costs (ODC). * Provide annual self-assessment based on relevant, objective, and subjective data impacting contractual and program performance to the Government with a summary review of our performance. * Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risk and devise contingency plans. * Anticipate and identify risks, issues, and threats in collaboration with key stakeholders to proactively mitigate, evaluate alternatives, and implement the chosen alternative solutions. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:  Active Secret   EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree with 20 years’ experience in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.   CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Current Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification or DAU Level III certification in Program Management preferred.   QUALIFICATIONS:  * 20+ years military experience, Army or Marine Corps with Simulation Experience (Functional Area 57 or Service equivalent) preferred. * Proven customer-facing technical program management and/or systems engineering experience, preferably in the defense domains. * Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
