Description

JOIN A MISSION-DRIVEN TEAM THAT’S RESHAPING CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDD) IN CENTRAL OREGON.

  • HDE is a family-owned and operated provider of IDD services, proudly serving Oregonians for over a decade. Rooted in Oregon, we are committed to raising the standard of personalized support for individuals and families in their homes and communities.
  • As we expand our presence into Deschutes County, we’re looking for a Program Manager to lead our In-Home IDD program in Bend and the surrounding area. We’re seeking someone who is not only a strong leader, but also deeply familiar with the IDD community and service landscape in Central Oregon. This is a meaningful opportunity to drive impact while growing a program that helps people live fuller, more connected lives.

SKILLS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills such that you thrive in a fast paced environment and know how to prioritize important tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal communication including being comfortable speaking with families, case managers, and staff.
  • Experience with one-on-one direct support and a clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of a managing agency.
  • Proficiency with computers, including email, scheduling software, and documentation systems.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the hands-on leader in our Bend office, setting the tone for excellence, professionalism, and care.
  • Oversee all aspects of staffing including recruitment, hiring, matching direct support professionals (DSPs) with clients based on compatibility and care needs, training DSPs, and reviewing services provided.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex client and staffing situations.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with referral partners, especially within the Deschutes County IDD network.
  • Drive growth across key metrics: total clients served, number of DSPs on staff, hours of service delivered, and overall program sustainability.
  • Coordinate client onboarding, including intake, meet & greets, and visit scheduling.
  • Share on-call duties with the internal team for after-hours urgent communications.
  • Stay up to date and ensure program compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and agency policies.
