Description
Manage the Profit and Loss of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Standard Transition Projects (STP), and New Product Development NPD Program(s). Execute Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership across the Program. Seek team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Coach and provide feedback on performance indicators. Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment. Facilitate the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit or Division. Manage effective customer communications and improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating Program Management reviews, preparing & publishing metrics, and reports. Lead IPT teams to define project risks and proactively identify risk mitigation actions. Coordinate all risks and requirements of the program into a completely integrated entity. Manage customer contract, pricing, terms, and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization. Establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer. Develop contract negotiation strategies. Provide monthly program updates of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Support the development of new business proposals and executing the overall program plan. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in operations, engineering, or program management Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future 3 or more years of experience in new product development or product/process/plant transition environments. 1 or more years of customer management experience Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) Position Criteria: Financial project management - recurring cost, scope, non-recurring cost, project budgets Proven Leadership skills - demonstrated capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT) environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
