Description Job Title: Program Manager III Company: Trimitron Corporation Location: On-site in Norfolk, VA Position Type: Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Position Overview: Trimitron Corp is seeking an accomplished Program Manager III to lead high-visibility, mission-critical efforts in support of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific’s Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division. This senior leadership role oversees complex technical programs, manages cross-functional teams, and ensures successful execution of PNT initiatives that directly support U.S. Navy operational readiness and warfighter capability. The ideal candidate brings extensive program management experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of managing technical, engineering, or defense-related programs. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage large, complex PNT-related programs from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with NIWC Pacific mission objectives. Oversee cost, schedule, performance, and risk management activities across multiple technical workstreams. Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, milestones, and performance metrics. Ensure all program deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements. Provide strategic direction to engineering, logistics, technical, and administrative teams supporting PNT efforts. Serve as the primary interface between Trimitron Corp, NIWC Pacific PNT leadership, and Government stakeholders. Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations through briefings, reports, and formal reviews. Build and maintain strong relationships with Navy program offices, technical leads, and mission partners. Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective coordination, tasking, and performance management. Support workforce planning, staffing, and professional development for program personnel. Foster a collaborative, high performance environment aligned with mission priorities. Support long term planning for PNT system development, modernization, and sustainment. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and enhanced mission effectiveness. Ensure all program activities comply with Navy, NIWC, and DoD policies, including cybersecurity, configuration management, and acquisition standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical or managerial discipline. Fifteen (15) years of professional experience in programming or project management, preferably supporting technical, engineering, or defense programs. Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs with multiple stakeholders and technical components. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Proven experience managing cost, schedule, and performance in a structured program environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting U.S. Navy, NIWC, NAVWAR, NAVSEA, or other DoD technical organizations. Familiarity with PNT systems, C4ISR programs, or maritime navigation technologies. Program Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA PM certification, or equivalent.
