PROGRAM MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS Be part of building a national brand. Headquartered in Toronto, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games. The Program Manager, International Relations and Public Affairs plays a key role in advancing the COC’s strategy by strengthening Canada’s influence, credibility, and leadership within the International Olympic Movement. Reporting to the Director, Public Affairs, this individual supports the delivery of the COC’s International Relations and Public Affairs (IRPA) work, including international advocacy, stakeholder engagement, Olympic Solidarity, and long-term bidding and hosting initiatives. The Program Manager supports coordinated, proactive engagement with international partners to ensure Canada’s positions are strategic, consistent, and aligned with corporate direction. Through relationship management, strategic coordination, and project delivery, this role helps position the COC to advance Canadian interests and contribute to international sport outcomes.   LOCATION This position will be located in one of the COC’s offices (Montreal, QC, at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West; or in Toronto, ON at 250 Yonge St. Suite 3000). We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week.  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES  * Support the implementation of the COC’s International Relations strategy, aligned with the long-term corporate vision and IRPA departmental objectives. * In collaboration with the Director, Public Affairs, develop strategic recommendations that strengthen Canada’s relationships and contributions to International Olympic Movement, including the sharing of best practices.  * Work with the Communications team to support the COC’s President, CEO and Secretary General, and Senior Leadership Team in articulating Canada’s positions on key international topics. * Coordinate and align international relations efforts across the organization to ensure consistency, tracking, and maximum impact. * Position Canada as a trusted connector and ethical barometer in international sport, championing integrity and good governance; advance leadership in Olympic Solidarity, human rights, refugee inclusion, and sustainability. * Research and prepare comprehensive briefing materials, correspondence, and key messages for the IRPA Team. * Monitor emerging international issues and trends to help proactively position the COC and Team Canada. * Build and maintain strong relationships to advance shared objectives.  * Support international elections, as defined. * Maintain strong working relationships and regular communication with key international organizations, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the Francophone Association of National Olympic Committees (AFCNO), and Panam Sports. * Some international travel required, including onsite coordination and representation at priority meetings, forums and events. * Other duties, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS Education and Experience * Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in International Relations, Government Relations, Communications or a related field * 4 to 6 years of related, progressive experience International Relations and/or Government Relations and/or Public Affairs * Experience contributing to the implementation of long-term strategic plans within complex organizations   Skills and Abilities * Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset; additional languages are assets. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex issues into clear, strategic messaging * Understanding of the international sport system, including key institutions and global sport governance, is considered an asset * Experience with international bidding and/or hosting processes, elections, or working with international organizations and clients * Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, international partners, and diverse stakeholders * Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment * Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy  * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-performing team * Demonstrates and embodies the COC values of Accountability, Excellence, Fun, Respect and Bravery COMPENSATION The expected salary range for this role is $65,400 to $89,870 per year.
