ABOUT THE TEAM & BUSINESS LINE:

Proprietary software solutions and innovation are at the core of what differentiates Citco in the alternative investment space. Through our network of global development centres, Citco invests heavily in technology development, security, and infrastructure to ensure our clients continue to receive award-winning products that underpin our commitment to service excellence.
As a core member of our Innovation and Development IT team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
We are seeking an established Program Manager to join our team to manage technology projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in the financial industry and in managing multiple fast-paced projects with competing priorities. Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in managing stakeholders, project reporting to executive teams and cross-location team coordination. Experience in coaching project teams and project managers to understand and further Agile principles will be a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) involving the development of project charters, plans, budgets, resource utilization plans and project road maps
  • Manage various project phases including requirements gathering, development, QA, automation testing, UAT, performance testing, and finally, production and post-production support
  • Utilize Agile methodology in managing the project and host regular Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Scrums, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, etc.
  • Maintain and document the status of projects on a day-to-day basis (in Structure , Confluence reports , e-mail communications and otherwise), and highlight/assist with resolving any blockers, ensuring stakeholders are apprised of the status regularly
  • Maintain the project Risk Registry, including adding any relevant risks, monitoring, mitigating and resolving as needed
  • Take on the role of Release Manager as needed, ensuring that completed development items are QA-tested, UAT-tested, and approved by both Development Manager and Product Owner prior to releasing completed functionality to production
  • Track project velocity (ensuring that Sprints are not over-allocated), and track budget (ensuring that the project is not running at a high deficit)
  • Assist the Product Owner in maintaining the road map (in structure and otherwise) and ensure that Sprints are well defined for each upcoming release
  • A Program by nature has a variety of moving pieces. The Program Manager is responsible for each of these pieces to bring the project to a successful completion. While the Program Manager may be able to delegate the management of these pieces to others, he is the individual with the ultimate accountability/responsibility for the delivery of the project.
  • A Program may face serious challenges that may put its successful (on-time, on-budget, on-scope) delivery at risk. He/she is expected to foresee these challenges and not only provide absolute and timely transparency to all the stakeholders, but he/she is also expected to use his skills and experience to try to mitigate these issues
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction for the Project Managers & Project Team.
  • Coach and mentor and participate in Communities of Practice
    Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
