IT PROJECT MANAGER, CYBER AND INTERNAL CONTROLS:

On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager, Cyber and Internal Controls for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Guelph, Ontario office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CYBER AND INTERNAL CONTROLS - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Project Manager, Cyber and Internal Controls will lead large-scale, complex, and high-risk initiatives that may span multiple jurisdictions or be enterprise-wide. The role involves ensuring the successful delivery of projects through their full life cycle, while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and frameworks.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CYBER AND INTERNAL CONTROLS - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 7+ years experience in program strategy development and delivery for I&IT programs.
  • 7+ years experience analyzing environments to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • 7+ years experience in implementing and overseeing cybersecurity initiatives and IT General Controls.
  • 7+ years experience in stakeholder consultation and technical risk communication.
  • Expert knowledge of PMLC.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with access management, change management, and data protection frameworks.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CYBER AND INTERNAL CONTROLS – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Public sector experience.
  • Experience with media relations and social media communication.
  • Ability to build positive team and external relationships.
  • Experience in life cycle improvements based on lessons learned.
  • Knowledge of recognized cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
Responsibilities
  • Provide program management leadership and expertise for high-profile initiatives.
  • Ensure accountability for centralized projects and their successful delivery.
  • Deliver programs cost-effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with methodologies.
  • Lead program strategy from inception through to project close-out and transition.
  • Direct and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including multiple Project Managers.
  • Monitor and manage cost, risk, schedule, governance, and technical performance.
  • Develop complex budgets based on multiple funding channels.
  • Analyze program environments to identify and prioritize risks and issues.
  • Direct stakeholder consultation, facilitation, and consensus building.
  • Lead strategies to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on supportive forces.
