Description
Job Expectations We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Program Manager to play a pivotal role in one of our most critical regulatory programs. This role reports to the Executive General Manager, Economic Regulation. A bit about your role As the Program Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, multi‑year regulatory programs that are vital to nbn’s compliance and long‑term strategic positioning. This will see you working across multiple workstreams and specialist teams, bringing structure to challenging regulatory requirements, shaping program content, and ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, on budget, and with the rigour expected by external regulators. You will oversee program governance, risk management, interdependencies and the production of material for external regulatory submissions. A key part of your role is translating complex regulatory and economic concepts into clear, compelling insights that support decision‑making and drive alignment across the organisation. This role is highly visible across nbn. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts and will frequently represent the program in executive forums, including presentations to the Executive Committee. A bit about you You are an experienced program leader with a strong track record of delivering organisation-wide, multi-year programs. You work independently, are confident in shaping program content, and bring a structured approach to guiding teams through complex requirements. You ideally bring experience in regulated utilities (such as energy or water) gained from revenue/price resets or major regulatory compliance programs. To drive outcomes, you are comfortable engaging in problem solving, continuous improvement, robust discussions, and navigating though uncertainty. Your leadership, clarity and presence will help the organisation navigate a complex regulatory environment, and you must be experienced in presenting to senior executives and distilling complex information into simple, actionable narratives. Your resilience, curiosity and collaborative mindset enable you to operate effectively in an evolving, early‑maturity program environment. You anticipate risks, manage competing priorities across multiple streams, and build alignment with diverse stakeholders in large organisations.
