Description
Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager supporting a high priority acquisition mission within the Air Force. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Aerial Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNA). The primary mission acquires, fields, and sustains networks, integrated information systems, enterprise services, and applications to support the Global Information Grid (GIG) capabilities. These systems facilitate communication between land, naval, air, and space warfare forces. The Division develops capabilities for voice, video, and data networks focused on joint and coalition warfighter needs to enable worldwide net-centric operations. This effort includes developing technical strategies (tactical and strategic) to ensure near- and long-term integration with the DoD C3I infrastructure (space and terrestrial). There are currently over 20 programs and projects, at stages ranging from early development to entering sustainment, with values ranging from under $1 million to over $1 billion. AFLCMC/HNA is organized into 4 product branches spread across multiple facilities in the Hanscom AFB, MA, area. This position is located at Hanscom, AFB. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs. Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and the pursuit of alternative courses of action. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.). Shall be able to plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives. Shall be able to support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e., Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR), etc.). Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews. Shall be able to support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
