Here is what you will be doing
As a Program Manager, you will lead the advancement of digital-first practices across Ontario Health portfolios, regions, and Ontario Health Teams (OHTs). You will champion a citizen-centered, digitally connected healthcare system by embedding innovative tools, processes, and mindsets that support transformation and service excellence.
This role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence change across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leaders, funders, and external partners.
Here is what you will need to be successful

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Drive the adoption of digital-first practices and tools across teams and portfolios to support Ontario Health’s vision for a connected healthcare system.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, funders, and senior leaders.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Apply conceptual models and change management methodologies to develop actionable strategies and lead program execution.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement: Interpret data to identify opportunities for innovation and refine existing processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to team members, fostering a culture of collective leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Client Service Excellence: Ensure internal and external stakeholders understand and access service options aligned with their evolving needs.
  • Change Enablement: Lead and support change initiatives within the program, working collaboratively with peers to implement and sustain improvements.
  • Decision-Making & Impact: Make informed decisions with Director-level support that have significant organizational impact and require sophisticated, short- to medium-term solutions.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Health Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Project Management certification or related designation is an asset.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare project/program management.
  • Proven experience leading medium to large-scale initiatives in hybrid work environments.
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s healthcare sector and public service; existing relationships are an asset.
  • Expertise in Project Management LifeCycle, Software Development LifeCycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
