Description:

The Program Manager (PM) is a key personnel role responsible for overseeing the successful execution of government contracts at a designated facility in either Wiesbaden, Germany or Vicenza, Italy. The PM ensures contract compliance, quality control, and overall performance of the work. This position requires prior military experience and a strong understanding of government policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prior Military Experience: Previous military service with a strong understanding of military operations, protocols, and procedures.
  2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of ten years’ experience managing large-scale government projects of similar size and scope.
  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address complex issues and challenges.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Performance: Directly oversee and manage the performance of all contract-related tasks, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and timelines.
  2. Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet or exceed established standards.
  3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with government policies, regulations, and procedures throughout all phases of contract execution.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  5. Client Relationship: Serve as the primary point of contact between the contractor and the government, facilitating effective communication and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on contract performance and deliverables.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records/documentation related to contract performance, including reports, correspondence, and other relevant materials.
  8. Personnel Management: Designate an alternate PM to act in their absence and ensure continuity of operations. Coordinate with the contracting officer regarding any proposed changes to key personnel.
