REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Minimum 7+ years of program/project management experience in software engineering or cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale, global, distributed software programs.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience in supply chain or manufacturing industries is essential.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Experience using JAMA software for requirements and traceability.
  • PMP or PgMP certification (highly preferred but not mandatory).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager – Product Cybersecurity to lead and manage cybersecurity initiatives supporting Toyota’s cutting-edge software development efforts. This role reports directly to the Program Management Office (PMO) and is embedded within a fast-paced, innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of program management best practices in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end-to-end cybersecurity programs — scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk — ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Serve as a key liaison across cross-functional teams, resolving scope, schedule, and resource conflicts.
  • Drive Agile practices as a Scrum Master, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint demos.
  • Develop and maintain MS Project GANTT charts, resource plans, task dependencies, and re-baseline schedules as needed for Waterfall programs.
  • Produce accurate and insightful monthly reports, dashboards, and program metrics to facilitate executive decision-making.
  • Lead complex problem-solving initiatives with a focus on scalability, cybersecurity compliance, and delivery excellence.
  • Champion product cybersecurity across internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance awareness and alignment.
  • Facilitate collaboration across all levels of the organization, ensuring timely resolution of blockers and stakeholder engagement.
  • Leverage tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to manage development pipelines and security integration.
