Job Details Job Location: FLA-Jacksonville Area Command - Jacksonville, FL 32204 Position Type: Full Time Regular Education Level: Graduate Degree Salary Range: $28.25 - $28.25 Hourly Job Category: Corrections Schedule/Hours: 8 hours per day 40 hours per week possible weekend duty This position is responsible for: Responsible for the coordination, scheduling, monitoring, training, and case management of The Salvation Army Batters Intervention Program ensuring compliance with minimum standards for Batters Intervention Programs as defined by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families, including overseeing continuing education requirements for facilitators. The manager represents The Salvation Army Batters Intervention Program in the community as it pertains to domestic violence and anger management issues. In general, the position is an advocate for the judicial system and the community by holding men who batter accountable and by fostering victim sensitivity. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Area Commander in maintaining certification of The Salvation Army Batters Intervention Program with Florida Department of Children and Families Responsible for submitting monthly list of clients for purpose of assessing state mandated fees in accordance with Florida Statute 945.76 to the Certification Office. Monitor Facilitator Training to ensure certification standards are met. Monitor initial and follow up training of Anger Management Instructors Reviews, monitors and ensures the accountability and security of all monies processed through the office; prepares and verifies bank deposits; prepares various comprehensive reports and statistical records reflecting the office operations. Assures the policy and procedure for daily deposits is implement and verified through random inspections. Qualifications A Master’s degree plus (1) year of work experience involving direct contact with victims and/or batterers; Seventy-eight (78) hours of direct face-to-face contact as a facilitator or co-facilitator of batterers groups using a power and control model; and Forty (40) hours of victim centered training. or A Bachelors degree in a social or behavior science, plus two (2) years of equivalent experience involving direct contact work with victims and batterers; Seventy-eight (78) hours of direct face-to-face contact as a facilitator or co-facilitator of batterers group using a power and control model; and Forty (40) hours of victim centered training.
