JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager for SHSS at Serenity Resources Limited is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and administration of specialized residential support programs for children, youth, or adults with complex needs. This role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality care and compliance with internal policies, accreditation standards, and licensing regulations. The Program Manager supervises program staff, manages day-to-day operations, develops individualized care plans in collaboration with clinicians and support teams, and ensures a safe, therapeutic, and culturally sensitive environment for all residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in residential care or a similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, and positive behavior support.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with 2 million liability.
  • Current CPI, First Aid/CPR, and other required certifications.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:PROGRAM OPERATIONS & OVERSIGHT

  • Oversee daily operations of the SHSS residential program, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets individual client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, including COA MCFD and CLBC standards.
  • Monitor shift schedules to maintain adequate staff coverage and program consistency.
  • Respond to and resolve critical incidents and ensure accurate incident reporting and follow-up.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Submit monthly reports to Regional Manager or Director of Operations.
  • Track budget usage and manage petty cash or program-specific spending.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards and company policies.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the program site(s).
