Description

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Program Manager to oversee and manage cross-functional programs and projects in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, problem solver, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Program Manager, will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring that goals are met on time, within scope, and on budget. This individual will collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes. The Program Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following requirements:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition field ; A minimum of three (3) years within the last six (6) years in support of Navy Acquisition management; and a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple interconnected projects within an organization to ensure they align with strategic goals, deadlines, and stay within budget, by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing dependencies between projects, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with acquisition policies, procedures and DOD 5000 series.
  • Demonstrated experience in the tracking of program/project contract status.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Monitor and report on program progress, risks, and issues, providing solutions and mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication across all departments and levels of the organization.
  • Track and manage budgets, timelines, and scope changes to ensure programs are delivered within agreed-upon constraints.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and project plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing feedback and lessons learned to enhance future programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as:
  • Project Management
  • Financial Management

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Naval aircraft/weapons maintenance and handlining experience.
  • Ability to work with corporate resources to recruit, develop and retain talented professionals over the life of the program.
  • Ability to work with corporate subcontract managers to oversee and direct subcontractors.
  • Experience working with aviation training systems

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • MA/MS Degree in a business, management, or relevant technical discipline.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
