Purpose of Position The Program Manager, Technology Services is responsible for maintaining and optimizing CRM systems, data integrity, and reporting tools that directly support the growth of United Way revenue priorities—most notably, the annual fundraising campaign. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing and managing real-time dashboards and performance metrics to monitor progress toward organizational goals. As a key member of the Technology Services team, this position collaborates across departments to align data and technology efforts with organizational strategies that advance the community’s Plan for Community Well-Being. The role also supports cross-functional information sharing and project coordination to ensure data is used effectively in pursuit of mission-driven outcomes. 45% Data Management and Reporting Establish and maintain data entry protocols, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely update across all organizational systems. Monitor data for inconsistencies or anomalies; implement corrective measures as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and maintain centralized, real-time dashboards and reports integrating multiple data sources and key performance indicators (KPIs), i.e. Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics. Demonstrate proficiency with the organizational Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and other software routinely used within the organization. 45 % Operations, Training and Project Management Serve as a liaison between technology services and other departments, committees and partners to streamline communication and foster collaboration. Coordinate data focused projects, track milestones, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities and the organization’s operational plan. Develop, document and train on technology procedures that staff can utilize to do their job more efficiently and effectively. Provide end-user support to staff as necessary. Document internal system-level standard operating procedures (SOP). Provide backup support for Technology Services staff members. 10% Organizational Support Participate in organizational activities including attending key donor and community events, during and outside regular business hours. Represent United Way in a professional manner to the community, key volunteers and donors. Provide recommendations on technology direction to meet the organization’s current and future needs. Participate in at least one internal organizational committee. Collaborate with colleagues to continue to learn and innovate as an organization and team. Other duties and functions as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Data and Project Management, related disciplines or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Highly effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate volunteers and staff. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Good organizational and time management skills. Strong planning skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong ability to analyze data, trends, outliers, etc. Experience with CRM platforms and data visualization software. Minimum Experience Minimum of three years of experience in data analytics & reporting, development, operations, relationship management, sales, fundraising, strategic planning, or related field required. Training and experience in program management implementation and operations. Understanding and ability to work with data, projects, facilitate meetings. Ability to build and manage productive relationships through an open, friendly and inclusive environment. Able to meet deadlines and be flexible. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, high level of organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience with electronic giving platforms beneficial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer systems including Microsoft 365 (Excel, database management, Microsoft Planner, Outlook, Word, etc.), and the ability to learn client data management platforms. Work Schedule, Location, and Travel Requirements Full-time, salaried position (40 hours/week); FLSA Exempt. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with flexibility required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on organizational needs. Possibility for limited hybrid work subject to policy. Local travel within Dane County is required for meetings, events, and community engagements. Salary Range $45,700- 50,700 (based on experience). In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package. This includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. United Way contributes 8% of gross wages to a defined contribution retirement plan, which is fully vested after five years of employment. Employees may also choose to contribute to a 403(b) retirement savings plan.
