Position Overview: Blackrock Strategy is seeking a Program Manufacturing Liaison to support high-priority defense efforts in a full-time, on-site role in Huntsville, Alabama.   This position will be embedded within an active production environment and will serve as an on-site representative responsible for maintaining awareness of manufacturing progress, production status, supply chain issues, schedule concerns, and emerging risks. The role is built around independent judgment, strong communication, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with limited day-to-day direction.   What Success Looks Like  Success in this role means:  * The government customer receives clear, timely, and objective insight into production progress and issues.  * Manufacturing and supply chain concerns are recognized early and communicated effectively.  * Leadership has reliable visibility into readiness, risks, and execution status. * The on-site liaison operates as a trusted, independent presence who helps keep communication aligned and informed.  Responsibilities: * Maintain a full-time on-site presence within a production facility to observe day-to-day manufacturing activity, production flow, and progress toward deliverables.  * Develop and maintain situational awareness of production status, manufacturing throughput, schedule performance, supply chain constraints, and operational issues affecting delivery.  * Provide timely, accurate, and objective updates to government stakeholders regarding progress, risks, delays, bottlenecks, and readiness concerns.  * Track platform or system completion status and identify issues that may affect timelines, quality, coordination, or customer expectations.  * Serve as an independent on-site representative who can assess conditions, gather facts, and communicate status clearly and professionally.  * Interpret customer guidance and stakeholder direction, translating priorities and expectations into clear situational awareness for production personnel and program leadership in a fast-paced operational environment.  * Coordinate in partnership with production personnel, program leadership, logistics stakeholders, and government representatives to support shared understanding of progress and issues.  * Identify emerging risks, execution challenges, or coordination gaps and elevate them to the appropriate leadership channels.  * Support preparation of status reports, summaries, briefing inputs, and other program communications for customer-facing and leadership use.  * Maintain awareness of material flow, supplier impacts, production dependencies, and other factors that may influence manufacturing execution.  * Assist in resolving communication gaps by ensuring leadership and stakeholders have accurate, current insight into production conditions and program progress.  * Operate with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in a sensitive customer environment.  * Support mission success by helping create transparency, alignment, and timely escalation of issues in a dynamic operational setting. Required Qualifications: * 5–10+ years of experience supporting defense programs, manufacturing operations, production environments, supply chain activities, logistics operations, program coordination, or related operational roles.   * Experience working in or around manufacturing, production, industrial, integration, depot, sustainment, or supply chain environments.  * Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics for inventory control, purchasing, and supply chain management.  * Ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision while maintaining strong judgment and professionalism.  * Ability to gather information from multiple sources, assess status accurately, and communicate findings in a concise and useful manner.  * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief stakeholders clearly and professionally.  * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces in a fast-paced environment.  * Ability to identify issues early, elevate concerns appropriately, and maintain steady communication with relevant stakeholders.  * U.S. citizenship.  Clearance:  * Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.  Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting defense technology production, fielding, integration, or modernization efforts. * Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, production planning, supply chain coordination, or operational readiness activities. * Background in aerospace, unmanned systems, mission systems, advanced technology programs, or related defense environments. * Prior experience working alongside government personnel, program offices, or acquisition/program management teams. * Military experience in operations, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, program support, or readiness functions. * Experience preparing status reports, executive updates, briefing materials, or issue summaries for leadership and customer stakeholders. * Ability to build credibility quickly in technical and operational environments. Work Environment  This position requires full-time on-site presence supporting operational program activities in the Huntsville, Alabama area, with regular interaction with technical teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders.
