SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services, Disability, Aged Care or Business
  • Experience in disability, aged care or community services
  • Administration skills, including experience in use of information systems and data management
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within given timeframes
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to analyse, review and present data
  • A current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
    Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Workers Screening Check.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Program Officer for our Community Assistance and Temporary Supports (CATS) program, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our services in Canberra.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, assessing and recording all new client referrals, supporting individuals through onboarding into our services, and with referrals to other supports as required. You will maintain client databases, develop reports, assist with budgeting and developing processes and procedures to contribute to the successful delivery of our CATS Services.
This is a part time (0.6 FTE) max term role through the 30th of September 2026 which will based in our office in Griffith, Canberra with hybrid work from home arrangements. The successful candidate will ideally be available to work part time across 5 days Mon – Fri.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process new client referrals and coordinate initial onboarding or further referrals to other supports
  • Undertake client assessment against eligibility requirements, ensuring a person-centred approach to care needs
  • Develop reports to support program management and adherence to program guidelines and contract requirements
  • Facilitate and manage a partnership approach with families and supporters
  • Collaborate with key business partners and external stakeholders to ensure consistency in program delivery and building a strong service culture
