Description
At Versent, as a Program/Project Manager, you will lead complex, high value projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business strategy, stakeholder expectations, and organisational standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and deep expertise in project management methodologies. Must be an Australian citizen with security clearance and currently residing in Australia. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex, or high‑risk projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with key stakeholders. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and governance requirements. Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leaders. Facilitate decision‑making, issue resolution, and alignment across cross‑functional teams. Mentor and support project team members to foster collaboration and high performance. Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, with timely escalation where required. Manage change requests, assessing impacts and ensuring appropriate approvals and communication. Ensure compliance with organisational governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory obligations. Conduct post‑implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and applying continuous improvement. Implement and promote project management best practices, tools, and methodologies. Drive efficiency, innovation, and improvement in delivery processes and project outcomes. Proven record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience and Qualifications 7–10+ years’ experience delivering complex, large‑scale projects in enterprise environments. Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage senior stakeholder groups. Demonstrated success delivering technology, transformation, or business‑change initiatives. Strong financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills. High proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic planning abilities. Tertiary qualification in Business, Technology, or a related discipline (preferred). Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master (highly regarded).
