DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY

The Arizona Department of child Safety (DCS) is a social and human services agency whose mission is to successfully partner with families, caregivers, and the community to strengthen families, ensure safety, and achieve permanency for all Arizona’s children through prevention, services, and support.

Responsibilities
  • Completes Quality Control (QC) reviews of all staff to ensure 98% successful completion. This will include identifying areas in need of improvement, providing managers recommendations to assist staff address these areas and maintain data on all QC reviews.
  • Provides classroom training to new staff, and routinely reviews and updates training materials to align with rules, procedures, policies, and statutes. Provides face-to-face training to new staff until they successfully graduate from training status.
  • Completes special projects that are assigned including, but not limited to, expedited redaction requests, data/report development, case assignments, assumption of abandoned cases, and covering vacant roles in redaction and/or intake.
  • Conducts research, review and analysis of information subject to legal action and make recommendations to management on potential opportunities to update current practices, procedures and processes.
  • Responsible for high profile case redactions as identified by the CRCU Administrator, DCS General Counsel, DCS Deputy Directors and/or
  • Program Administrator for Legal Services.
  • Redact routine case file requests from all units within CRCU.
  • May oversee staff when the supervisor is unavailable.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position
