The Role The Program Specialist implements and administers program initiatives for similar the Adult Services Program, and reports to the Vice President of Adult Services. In this role, the Program Specialist is responsible for day-to-day programmatic activities that meet the needs of the Agency's client population within Adult Service’s specialized Day Community Programs (SLA, CSS, FI, etc.). Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Program Management Coordinates and facilitates reviews of annual plan and assists DSP to work with consumers served to evaluate and revise goals throughout the year. Ensures, with team members, program operations follow Licensing regulations, prepares necessary documentation and is present for Licensing visits. Works with Management staff to operate programs within budget. Collecting and analyzing data measuring program performance or client progress. Coordinates the development of a support plan for people who are new to the program. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to identify needs, design, train and implement positive clinical programming for consumers served. Trains, monitors, and provide feedback to Adult Services staff regarding the implementation of individual support plans. Attend and/or facilitates meetings regularly to communicate and collaborate with other members of management, clinical team, and DSPs. Communicates and collaborates with administrative office personnel and HR personnel as necessary. Communicates and collaborates with consumer support, their families/guardian/caregiver and their BHDDH Social worker. Actively participates in tasks and duties above and beyond job description (i.e. special events, activities, funerals, etc.) within the agency. Attends and actively participates in agency management, planning, and work group meetings. Provide guidance on program growth initiatives Communicates the need for updates in agency policies and procedures in response to licensing reviews, changes in rules and regulations, and consumer needs. Client Support Develops and monitors the implementation and documentation of individual progress towards personal goals in consumer record/database (funding requests, personal care inventories, risk assessments, individual service plan, goals/objectives, integrated schedules, active treatment documentation, daily log, etc.). Supports consumers in making connections and maintaining involvement within community agencies, organizations, events, and activities. Maintains confidentiality of the consumers served. Responds to, reports and follows through with employee incidents as required by agency policy and state law. Communicates and/reports serious employee events to the Director and cooperates with the investigation process. Ensure the input of consumers served and their families in the development of agency policies and procedures as well as federal and state rules and laws. Other duties as assigned Position may be required to support quality assurance items, supervisory duties, etc., as needed. Experience and Expertise Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in human services At least two years of supervisory or management experience 5 years of direct support experience in community human services Ability to complete requisite background checks satisfactorily Must have valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle Competency Requirements Clear and effective oral and written communication Demonstrated ability to create and implement new systems/procedures General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite General experience with billing administration Work Location and Conditions This position is located at: 3445 Post Rd., Warwick, RI, 02885 The standard work hours for this position is: M-F, 8:30AM to 4:30 PM Except in unique circumstances, employees complete work in-person at their designated job site. Office settings may include direct interaction with students, participants and team members. Daily use of computers, phones, and office technology may be required. Work may extend into public school and/or community settings, requiring travel between locations. Compensation and Benefits: Base Wage: $80,000 per annum Bargaining Unit: No FLSA: Exempt Benefit Eligibility: Eligible Pay Schedule: bi-weekly
