Working in partnership with statutory bodies, KANL strives to develop creative and innovative programs for the provision of unique and supportive services, tailored to meet the needs of children, youth, and families, and designed to work towards improving outcomes. KANL is currently recruiting in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL for the position of:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

To be successful in this role, the candidate is required to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years working with young people/adults with emotional/behavioral difficulties and/or developmental disabilities in residential care or foster care
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma and/or who demonstrate aggressive behavior will be considered an asset

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clear Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check from RNC/RCMP
  • Child Protection Clearance Check granting clearance
  • Valid Newfoundland Driver’s License
  • Drivers Abstract
  • Current and valid Standard First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid Proof of Canadian Residency
  • Access to a personal vehicle and $2 Million Business Liability
