UAA College of Health
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) School of Social Work is looking for a staff member to join our team. We are currently recruiting one full time Program Support Specialist to begin as soon as possible. This position provides both general program support to faculty and students and serves as the primary support specialist for the School’s practicum programs.
This position provides general program support to School of Social Work faculty, students, and community members. In addition, you will be the primary support for the practicum programs, including maintaining the database of practicum sites, updating practicum documents, and supporting practicum events. The staff person also coordinates with the COH Compliance Officer to ensure updated Memorandums of Agreement are in place for each practicum site. This staff person orders supplies for the programs and activities of the SSW, assists with school events, and directs incoming inquiries to the appropriate party.
To thrive in this role, you must enjoy working with faculty and students in an academic setting. You need to be able to prioritize work tasks and recognize that there is an ebb and flow to work based on academic terms. You will need to learn software programs used by the university and School of Social Work to create and maintain documents and files. You may occasionally support recruitment and outreach opportunities on campus or create flyers for program events and courses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
